MEET THE SILVAS

Founding Pastoral Family

Pastor Sam Silva and his wife Leah were both born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in homes deeply marked by God’s redemptive power. Their families were radically transformed by the Gospel—delivered from cycles of addiction, violence, and brokenness. Because of this legacy, Sam and Leah were raised in households rooted in faith and grace. That foundation sparked a lifelong passion to see the same Gospel transform someone else’s story.

After serving for years in various areas of ministry—music, children’s ministry, Sunday school, administration, evangelism, teaching, and preaching—they felt a persistent burden stirring in their hearts. In 2018, Sam and Leah founded ONE Church in their 400-square-foot garage—without all the bells and whistles, but with a deep conviction. The Gospel was preached, community was built, and lives were changed.

Their vision came from Isaiah 51:2:
“For I called him when he was but one, and I blessed him and made him many.”

From day one, the mission has been clear: faithfully serve, teach, and reach the one, and trust God to multiply to the many. What began as grassroots Bible studies has grown into a thriving church united around:

One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, One Hope, One Mission.

Sam serves as the Lead Pastor and primary teacher, and Leah leads as Music Director. Together, they are deeply passionate about discipleship—believing that spiritual growth doesn’t happen at a distance. Their ministry is marked by walking with people in real relationship, helping hearts and minds be restored in Christ.

The Silvas are also a tight-knit, memory-making family. With their three children—Adrianna, Aiden, and Asher—they enjoy traveling, cooking everything from pantry meals to smoked meats, and battling it out over board games (Asher’s UNO skills are the stuff of legend). They’re not “things” people—they’re “people” people.

At their core, the Silvas are devoted to building a church that reflects the heart of God—One Body, Many Members—where everyone has a place and a purpose in the Kingdom. Their prayer is that the Word and Spirit would transform every part of our lives—our thoughts, our relationships, and our futures.
